Who are you?
Welcome to my little nook in the woods! My name is Brandi! I’m a crazy little beast who lives to bring custom creatures to life!
What are your masks made out of?
Right now, mask making latex!
I know some of you have allergies! Hoping to offer more materials in the future!
What makes your mask work special?
Each piece is handmade with special crafted details that make each creation one of a kind. It is my promise that each piece ordered from me will embody a unique character. I always tell my clients, the more details, the better! I want to make it yours!
But I don’t want someone else to have the same mask as me, what do I do?
I will reuse base sculptures, but I will always try to add differences in my finishing work to make it special. No mass production, no cookie-cutter, no direct copies. Your character is yours when we work together.
Do you take custom orders?
Yes. I also offer custom work in a few different ways. Custom from scratch, which means I will sculpt something special from a collaborative vision that we create together, inspired by you. Or, you can browse through my beasts in the gallery and find a base you like! We can build from an already existing form!
Each option has a different pricing format.
What are your prices?
Please check the pricelist page! They’re all listed out for your convenience. Do keep in mind, this list is based on the sculptures I’ve already created, NOT from scratch jobs. We need to get details to price that properly.
Do you offer payment plans?
I offer split payment plans. Half down to reserve a slot in my schedule, since I’m one person and can only take on so much for a season. The second half to ship your beastie home! I will send updates and photos during the paint process to get a thumbs up before sealing and shipping!
How do I care for my mask?
I highly recommend keeping your mask in temperature controlled environments (not in your car, outside in the sun, etc.,) and on a headform. Even a cheap Sally salon foam head or hobby lobby head will do! This will ensure longevity and avoid deforming!
For cleaning off some dust, just take a soft cloth and dampen with some water. Nothing soaking and no hard scrubbing necessary. You don’t want to lose your paint job! There are sealers, but friction can do a lot of damage.
For sanitizing use a light misting of alcohol spray on the parts that made contact with sweat, inside. No need to saturate the mask, this may affect the adhesives if you soak it too much.
My mask doesn’t quite fit, what can I do?
My masks are made with elastic strapping, cap fittings, and sometimes some foam padding. The sculptures are made on generic humans so they should fit “most” people. However, if you’re like me and have a small head, sometimes a tiny tweak is necessary. You can easily put a stitch in the elastic band to tighten it to the desired fit. You can add upholstery foam to the inside with some spray glue from Lowe’s or Home Depot, I use 3M brand. More foam can help parts fill out and cradle your face/head.
If your mask is too tight you can remove the foam I’ve inserted and cut the elastic in the middle to sew in an extending piece!
Can you create Pennywise, Jason, or the Predator? (Franchised Popular Characters?)
No, unfortunately I have no interest in copying the work of others. I’d much prefer to bring beasts into being that no one has seen before! Let’s unleash your creativity and originality, it’s fun! I promise! :)
Contact me today! I’m a huge believer in communication. I’ll get back as soon as I’m able and reply to your message, we can go from there!
